SALWACO Regional Manager Embarks on Assessment and Familiarization Tour in the Southern Region

The Regional Manager of the Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) South, Edmond Manu Allieu Kabu, has initiated an assessment and familiarization tour across various operational areas in the Southern Region.

The exercise began at the Pujehun Station, where Manager Kabu engaged Station Manager, Ing. Mohamed Yayah Sesay, and his team. Discussions revolved around strategic revenue generation initiatives, a critical component for ensuring the company’s sustainability. The station team also highlighted key challenges and areas of concern that require the attention of SALWACO leadership to enhance the station's ability to deliver on its mandate. In response, the Regional Manager assured the team that their concerns would be communicated to SALWACO's headquarters for necessary action.

Additionally, Manager Kabu held meetings with the Council Administrator of the Pujehun District Council and the CTO Construction Company. These discussions focused on addressing water-related concerns and ensuring that both institutions and individuals have access to safe drinking water. Emphasis was placed on the importance of beneficiaries paying for services where justified to ensure the sustainability of water supply initiatives.

As part of the ongoing exercise, Manager Kabu is set to extend his visitations to other areas within the Southern Region. The objective is to thoroughly understand and address issues while ensuring the vision and mission of SALWACO are effectively implemented in alignment with the institution’s mandate.

This proactive engagement by the Regional Manager reflects SALWACO’s commitment to improving water accessibility and service delivery across the Southern Region.
